The Detoxifying Ramadan

Tomorrow all Muslims in Malaysia will be welcoming the arrival of the much anticipated month in the Islamic calendar - Ramadan. It's the month when all Muslims fast from dusk to dawn.

One of the benefits of fasting is that it can detoxify our body. During the fasting month i notice that my body becomes more energized, fresh, and much lighter as compared to other months of the year. I reckon it has something to do with the detoxifying effects of fasting. As it detoxifies all the toxins in our body, this is also the best opportunity to put our body, especially our stomach at rest.

In a wider perspective, detoxification in this context does not mean physically but spiritually as well. Thus, grab this opportunity and make the best out of it. Happy Fasting.

A Chance for A Change

The day has finally arrived , the election day !!!

I was on the fence before but after some time i have made up my mind :) Needless to say to whom i will cast my vote for, the title of this entry pretty much says it all .....

Flags Galore !!!

The best part of this general election is seeing all the flags being hanged almost everywhere that is hangable. As this only happens once in every 5 years, the sights of those hanging flags capture our attention for good or bad. Disstraction or decoration ??? It all depends on the eyes of the beholder

These are some of the images that i captured myself on my home from Terengganu to Pahang.

A sight to behold

A creative display

So, disstraction or decoration???

Monthly Resolution - April

Here we are, my favourite month of the year - April. Though the scorching hot weather of this month causes me dizziness and fatigue, i really enjoy being in this month simply because it's the month which i was born.

Instead of having the yearly resolution, I've decided to have  my monthly resolutions starting from this month. Hoping that it will make me to be more aware of my targets constantly, the monthly resolutions also will keep me on track of my long term target. Assuming that the targets of the months are not achieved , i can bring them forward to the following  months.

So,these are my resolutions for this month.

1) To gain 3 kg

2) To exercise regularly

3) To read at least 3 books

Simple yet achievable :)

A New Do

Currently i'm contemplating on a new hairdo as i'm in a desperate need of having a new look.Just so you know, I have been having the same hairstyle for ages, i guess it's time for me to make a change . So let's have a look at all the possible options that i can have :

1) The James Franco

I love this James Franco inspired look, a good choice since i also have the wavy hair like him...

2) The Blended Short Cut

pretty practical....

3) The Sleek Side Comb

it does look good for the model but i'm not sure whether it's for me...

4) The Messy Top Cut

suits me the best because i love being messy.Hmmm, but i don't feel like having it.....

5) The Curly Top Fop

as opposed to the straight hair like most men have, this is another considerable option.Straight can be really boring, right ???

6) The Dandy Flop

obviously, this is not for me...

7) The Arched Quiff

the best look of all, suits the shape of my face and my 'receding' hair line (i'm getting old you know!!) ha ha. i think i'll go for this one. With some slight adjustments here and there i think i can work it  ;)

Another Year, Another Climb

In the blink of an eye we are coming towards the end of the first quarter of the year. Looking back there are so  many ups and downs that we had had, yep we had gone so far on this winding journey named "LIFE". Like it or not what we faced in the past will always be a part of us, those things called experiences shape the "present" and the "future"us for better or worse.

Though we have traveled very far , yet ahead of us the road is long to reach the end. God knows how long the journey will take. We will go through some rough terrains along the way , beyond us the route will be hilly and mountainous and the worst part is we always have to make THE CLIMB. There will be many climbs to make in between and we'll never know how hard they are going to be, on our way we will stumble and fall and thinking such thought intimidates me a bit .

Thus, we always need people around us to fall our back on, they will help us to rise because our travel is not solitary. Hopefully, they will always be there with me through thick and thin.

So, optimism will surely help us to make a move, it's something that drives us to the top of every mountain. It's a push needed by everyone of us. Whatever may come along our journey to reach our destination, what we need to do is just to be optimistic in every step of the way. God willing, we will reach there triumphantly !
